Title: -HORIZON Year: 2019 Material: Photo-edit Dimensions: 29,5 x 39 cm Description:The photo visualises a land-art concept. A rounded mirror with a diameter of 100m. Goal is to experience unification with the sky/welkin. The spectator is trapped between the sky and it's duplication. Depending on weather conditions he/she is no longer able to see the horizon, making the spectator able to completely retract from earth. The mirror outsides are slightly curved to above making it impossible for the spectator to see the horizon. The mirror will be placed on top off a tall building, the centre of the mirror will be reachable from underneath, where the spectator can climb up a stair. A small shutter provides access to the surface of the mirror. You feel the wind and experience gravity but all the other bonds with earth are broken, you reside in ultimate loneliness. The infinite sky echoes underneath your feet. No longer the horizon shall be a boundary of earth and sky.

I am interested in layers of reality, when there is a gap in logic or physical appearance, and how humans interact with this. This gap I would call a glitch. I enlarge, zoom in on, glitches in both the digital and physical world. My work consists of: landart and performance art documented through photo and video. The boundary of earth and sky called 'horizon' is an important theme in my work. The sky has a certain effect on human beings, I'm trying to enlarge this feeling, moving all obstacles aside. And by this share an experience.
